Dom Lagana
Paul Richards Racing Dom Lagana
About
Service Central Racing is pleased to support the Service Central Top Fuel dragster driven by Dominick Lagana.
Drag racing is "all in the family" for Dom. His father, Bobby Lagana Sr., has been involved in drag racing for over 50 years and wheeled the well-known Twilight Zone entry in the 1970s before trading in his Funny Car for a Top Fuel dragster in the early 1990s. Dom's brother, Bobby Lagana Jr., took over the reins of the Top Fuel car in the late 1990s before handing them over to his little brother in 2009.
The second-generation driver cut his teeth tuning alongside Bobby Jr. and currently pilots the Tire Kingdom Top Fuel dragster at select events on NHRA's Full Throttle Series tour. Bobby Sr. and Bobby Jr. are both along for the ride, too; Bobby Sr. acts as the car chief and Bobby Jr., a former world champion in IHRA competition, is the lead crew chief.
Team owner Paul Richards is just as much a part of the family; his father – Top Fuel pioneer Gary Richards – raced with Bobby Sr. in the youth of the furiously horsepowered sport, and the Richards and Lagana boys have been pals for many years.
